Rotary Bujumbura Kigobe 2012 awarded, on Friday, September 8, a complete school kit to 70 children assisted by the association "Bon Geste" directed by Christine Ntahe.

"Your humility amazes me. You are respectable people, but you care about us street children. I just finished secondary school thanks to you. I can assure you that among these children you assist, there will be leaders of the country," said Adrien Sibomana, speaking on behalf of the vulnerable children the association serves.

Christine Ntahe could not hide her gratitude to the Rotarians who are providing this assistance for the fifth consecutive year: "It's extraordinary help, a source of hope because it helps my children grow up."

The children express their joy by dancing. Erica Gahimbare, president of Rotary Bujumbura Kigobe 2012, was moved by the fact that these children were doing well at school: "What makes us proud is that we are helping intelligent children." She asked them to always respect "Maman dimanche" and to attend class.

At the end of the activity, refreshments were served to the children. The "Bon geste" association, approved in 2007, assists more than 600 vulnerable children, including those living on the streets.
